Film barat action sci-fi berjudul “Lucy” ini bercerita tentang seorang wanita yang bernama Lucy diperankan oleh (Scarlett Johansson) diculik oleh kawanan gangster saat berpesta di Taipei. Tubuhnya akan dimanfaatkan untuk menjadi penyelundup narkoba dalam sebuah transaksi.

Lucy lalu menjalani operasi ilegal dan perutnya ditanami obat-obatan. Ternyata, obat-obatan ini memiliki reaksi yang tak biasa terhadap DNA-nya. Tiba-tiba tubuh Lucy bereaksi aneh dan otaknya mampu menjadi sangat peka.

Kemudian dia pun menjadi memiliki kekuatan super karena otaknya mampu berfungsi secara maksimal. Lalu Lucy pun membantai semua gangster yang menculiknya. Ia juga berusaha mencari jawaban atas kejadian aneh yang menimpa dirinya sembari melawan para gangster yang mengejarnya.

Reportedly a seven-year passion project, this sophomore feature from Beijing national martial-arts champion Wu is a feature-length spinoff of a TV series. Abundantly supported by the Nanjing military, it’s a modernized, gussied-up version of the sort of hawkish propaganda pics churned out by the state-owned August First Studio, epitomized here by a scene in which soldiers stick “Fight for China” patches onto their sleeves before an attack, perhaps in parody of “Delta Force.” The saber-rattling patriotism of the tagline — “You offend China, you have nowhere to hide” — has roused a provincial fanbase. But the film’s inner contradictions — self-inflated pride on one hand, a “white peril” complex on the other — are projected onto the soldiers’ Caucasian enemies, whose rabid contempt for the Chinese alternate awkwardly with praise.

Bartok watches over his estate, a vassal kingdom to a great empire. Protecting the Bartok clan is Commander Raiden and his elite soldiers, who serve and protect Bartok. Raiden is surprised when Bartok tells him he is to be his heir, and gives him a sword. The empire has become corrupted and the evil minister, Geza Mott, humiliates Bartok by beating him with a stick for failing to provide an adequate bribe, until Bartok retaliates—which is treason against the crown. Bartok is put to trial where he speaks openly of his disdain for what honour has become in the empire. He is sentenced to death and Raiden is ordered to execute his own master. Bartok's estate is divided and Raiden and the Bartok clan is disbanded. Geza Mott suspects Raiden will demand vengeance, and has his trusted warrior, Ito, watch Raiden to ensure there is no possibility of revenge.

Haunted by the ghosts of his past, former Irish mob enforcer Jimmy "The Gravedigger" Conlon has become an angry drunk, unable to connect with his son Mike, a retired professional boxer who mentors at-risk kids at the local gym. In 2014, 17-year-old high school senior and aspiring inventor David Raskin (Jonny Weston) is admitted into MIT, but is unable to afford its tuition fees. Upon learning his mother, Kathy Raskin (Amy Landecker), is planning to sell the house, David enlists his sister Christina (Virginia Gardner) and his friends Adam Le (Allen Evangelista) and Quinn Goldberg (Sam Lerner) to go through the belongings of his father, Ben Raskin (Gary Weeks), an inventor who died in a car crash on David's 7th birthday, in the hope of finding something that David can use to get a scholarship. David ends up finding an old camera with a video recording of his birthday, in which he briefly spots his 17-year-old self in a reflection. The four later find the blueprints of a temporal relocation device that Ben was developing for the United States military named "Project Almanac," and use the available resources to build a functional time machine, including hydrogen canisters stolen from their school. David, Christina, Adam, and Quinn later use the battery from the car of David's longtime crush, Jessie Pierce (Sofia Black D'Elia), who is attending a party in the neighborhood, to charge up the machine, and successfully send a toy car back in time, blowing out the power for the entire neighborhood. They end up being caught by Jessie and recruit her to their experiment.

She has a bite wound on her arm, and the infection is going to gradually spread throughout her body. Wade is allowed to take Maggie home to settle her affairs until the virus progresses to the point where she must be quarantined. On the trip back, they stop at a store for Maggie to get sunglasses. Wade encounters a zombie and breaks its neck.
